COR-Performance Creatine Review

COR-Performance Creatine by CellucorFor this review, we are going to be taking a look at COR-Performance Creatine by Cellucor. Cellucore makes 4 different creatine products, one of them is more a pre-workout, this one is the best of the bunch though. Let’s take a look at all the need to know facts on this product.

Ingredients

When reviewing a supplement, it is always best to ignore the company’s marketing and just look at the ingredients. That’s where you will find out if it is really any good. Let’s find out what COR-Performance Creatine has to offer. Here are the active ingredients

CreaPure Creatine Monohydrate – This product starts off with 5 grams of creatine monohydrate which is a great start. If you have read out other creatine reviews you know this is our favorite from of creatine. CreaPure is an excellent form of creatine monohydrate that is made in Germany and is very effective.

Creasorb – This is a combination of Disodium Phosphate and Dipotassium Phosphate that make for better absorption of the product into the blood stream according to the manufacturer.

Betaine Anhydrous – This ingredient is a very nice addition. Betaine Anhydrous has been shown to do many things including increase strength, increase muscle growth, increase HGH production and decrease fatigue when taken before weight training. That is a nice addition to this supplement.

Cinnulin PF – This ingredient has been shown to produce better absorption of creatine into the bloodstream and muscles.

Value

This one is a bit on the pricey side costing around $30 for a tub of 30 servings. That is a pretty high cost per serving and may put it out of the price range of some people especially with the loading phase.

Dosing

It says to use 1-2 scoops 30 minutes prior to workout. It also says to use a loading phase of 4 servings a day for the first five days.

Positives

  • 5 grams of high-grade CreaPure Creatine Monohydrate
  • Includes Betaine Anhydrous
  • Uses Cinnulin PF for absorption
  • No proprietary blends
  • Straightforward labeling

Negatives

  • Expensive, high cost per serving
  • Flavor is average to below average
  • Low dose of Betaine Anhydrous
  • Uses artificial flavors and dyes unless you get the unflavored kind

COR-Performance Creatine Overall Evaluation

Overall while there are a few negatives with COR-Performance Creatine we do really like it and would recommend it. We love the high-grade CreaPure creatine. That is top of the line stuff right there. We like the ingredients for absorption too although we aren’t so sure on the company’s claims on the Creasorb. We also like the Betaine Anhydrous but we think the dose is a bit low on that ingredient. While taste isn’t that important to us many people aren’t thrilled with the taste and it rates average to slightly below average.

There were also some bad reviews on mixability particularly on the non-flavored variety but most non flavored creatine doesn’t mix that well.

With all that being said the product performs well. Many people increased muscle size and strength with this product and swear by it. Others also noted increased endurance as well.

While it does contain artificial colors and dyes they do offer a non-flavored version so you can avoid the artificial stuff. Just be prepared to mix the non-flavored kind with something to help the taste.

Aside from that, the price may be an issue for some. It breaks down to about $1 per serving which is on the high side and it will only last a month if you use it once a day like you are supposed to. That’s not even including the loading phase of 4 servings a day for the first 5 days, that’s most of a tub right there. For servings, it does say 1-2 scoops, if money is tight you just go with the 1 scoop, for the most part. I have done that before and still had great results.

If you can afford it I would say go for it, it is a solid product with good ingredients and all the reviews when it comes to effectiveness are very good.
